Abby Campbell, LCSW, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Illinois State University. She went on to complete her Master's in Social Work at University of Illinois at Chicago with a specialization in School Social Work. Abby has worked in public schools since 2011 as a School Social Worker.
In her clinical practice, Abby specializes in adolescents (12+), adults, and couples. She addresses an array of issues including: marital therapy, autism spectrum disorder, mental health disorders (e.g. anxiety, depression), life transitions, grief/loss, women’s issues, self-injury/suicidal ideation, LGBTQIA related-issues, and relationship coaching + support.
Abby utilizes a strengths-based perspective when working with individual clients and couples. She tends to pull from various evidenced-based therapeutic models including Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused techniques.
Abby is an experienced clinician who prioritizes empathy and a non-judgmental approach in order to establish rapport and strengthen trust in the therapeutic process. She maintains a relaxed, genuine, and validating approach in order to help facilitate personal growth and promote resilience with her clients.
